The quality principle of La Rioja’s cuisine is transferred to a professional service, with a close and familiar treatment. All this in a cozy atmosphere that is transmitted through the decoration. It is characteristic of our wooden bench that runs along one of the walls, the vaulted ceiling and the tiles with its very peculiar edging of the dining room.

A restaurant with history

The López family founded, in the 1960s, a typical Basque-style food house, located on Carrer Duran i Bas in Barcelona, very close to the Cathedral, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The family business was soon done with a loyal clientele thanks to their tasty homemade dishes and the closeness and friendliness of the founders, Pachi and Marisa.

It was in 1982 when Ernesto and Amparo took over the business and decided to carry out a refurbishment of the restaurant, devoting themselves solely to the restaurant business. The current structure of the establishment dates from that time.

Today, the entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the cultural and culinary heritage of La Rioja and the best of Catalan cuisine, remains in Carlos and Luisa, their successors, who are responsible for the latest developments in the kitchen.
